Deleting your NUYU account

This page explains how to delete your account and your data from Audio Magnesium by NUYU, the NUYU app for iPhone and Android.

Deleting it in the app

  1. Open the app and go to Profile
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Tap Delete my account
  4. Confirm

It happens straight away. There is no waiting period and nothing to wait for us to approve.

If you no longer have the app

Email hello@feelnuyu.com from the address you used in the app, with the subject Delete my account. We will delete it and confirm by reply within 30 days, and usually within a few working days.

If you never added an email address to the app, there is nothing on our side tied to you and nothing for us to find. Deleting the app removes it.

What is deleted

Everything you have created or recorded in the app, permanently:

  • Your journal entries
  • Your daily check-ins and your streak
  • Any Lab or Workspace Well cycle you joined, and every answer you gave in it
  • Your saved and favourited tracks, and any playlist or meditation you made
  • Your profile, your reminders and what you told us you wanted help with
  • Anyone you follow, and any review or report you have written
  • Your email address and your login

This cannot be undone and we cannot recover it for you afterwards.

What we keep, and why

If you joined a workplace programme, we keep a record that the joining code was used: the date, and the part of an email address after the @ sign, such as gmail.com. Your name, your address and your account are removed from it.

We keep this because a workplace code is shared with a company's staff, and it is the only way we can tell an employer whether their code has been passed to people outside the company. It identifies no one, including you, and it is never shown to your employer as a list of people.

If you have bought something from feelnuyu.com, your order is a separate record in our shop, not in the app. We keep order records for six years because UK tax law requires it. Deleting your app account does not delete your shop account or your order history. To deal with those, email hello@feelnuyu.com and say so.

Your other rights

Under UK GDPR you can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@feelnuyu.com.
